471 <br /> <br /> Mr. Howell stated that Mr. Plott had agreed with the resolution adopted by <br />the Planning and Zoning Commi,ssion at its May 18 meeting, including the <br />conditions for six trucks and the hours of operation. He stated the.company <br />currently has six trucks and would have to sell two of those trucks if the <br />business were limited to four. He reiterated that in his Qpinion the company <br />does not make a visual or noise impact in the community. <br /> <br /> Mr. Witherspoon stated that there were seven conditions outlined by Mr. <br />Newton and clarified that the question before the Board is 'whether or not the <br />petitioner will agree to those seven conditions. <br /> <br /> Mr. Howell reiterated that the petitioner had agreed to the resolution <br />passed by the 6 to 3 vote on May 18 by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Olio-Mills asked if these conditions involved the hours of <br />operation, the limitation of six trucks, and the 25-foot minimum paved apron. <br /> <br />Mr. Howell responded that this was correct. <br /> <br /> There was no one else present to address the Board regarding Petition 95- <br />04, and Chairman Barnhart closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Olio-Mills <br />with Commissioners Niblock, Fennel and Olio-Mills and Chairman Barnhart voting <br />for, the Board denied the rezoning request of Petition 95-04 by Mr. Jimmy Plott. <br /> <br />A~pointments Centralina Development Corporation Board (3) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Niblock with <br />Commissioners Fennel, Niblock, and Olio-Mills and Chairman Barnhart voting for, <br />the Board reappointed Mr. Branson Jones and Mr. Eddie Durham to the Centralina <br />Development Corporation for a term of one year ending June 30, 1996. <br /> <br /> Additional applications will be requested to fill the position previously <br />held by Mr. Paul Gebhardt who did not wish to be considered for reappointment at <br />this time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olio-Mills left the meeting for a short period of time. <br /> <br />Appointments Domiciliary Home Community Advisory Committee (3) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Chairman Barnhart with <br />Commissioners Fennel and Niblock and Chairman Barnhart voting for, the Board <br />appointed Ms. Betty Kluttz-Sethna, Ms. Jeanne Ashley, and Ms. Janice. Matthews to <br />the Domiciliary Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year <br />beginning July 1, 1995 and ending June 30, 1996. <br /> <br /> The Board asked the Clerk to contact the other applicant, Ms. Dianna <br />Meredith, to thank her for her interest in serving on the committee and tb let <br />her know that she would be contacted as soon as other vacancies occur. <br /> <br />Appointments Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors (2) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Chairman Barnhart with <br />Commissioners Fennel and Niblock and Chairman Barnhart voting for, the Board <br />appointed Mr. William H. Cagle, Jr., Vice-President of Plastics Manufacturing, <br />Inc. in Harrisburg, to the Greater Cabarrus County Economic Development <br />Corporation Board of Directors representing the Harrisburg area. Mr. Caglefs <br />appointment was for a term of three years ending June 30, 1998. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cagle will fill the position previously held by Mr. Michael Brown. <br />Commissioner Fennel expressed appreciation to Mr. Brown for his service during <br />the past year. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel reported that Mr. Robert Byrd has moved from the <br />County, thus creating a second vacancy on the Economic Development Board. An <br />application was received from Mr. James Pilon; however, he does not meet the <br />residency and work guidelines established for those appointees "who do not live <br />or work within the city limits of Concord/Kannapolis." <br /> <br /> <br />
