Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Appointments - Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br /> Commissioner Casper made the following nominations for appointment to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission: Jerry Jordan At-large; Gerald Nichols <br />Township 1~ and Monica Davis - Alternate. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Barnhart nominated Ms. Monica Davis for appointment as the at- <br />large member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel nominated Mr. Tim Huie for~ reappointment as an <br />alternate member on the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br /> The Board unanimously appointed Mr. Gerald Nichols as the Township 1 <br />representative on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a three-year term ending <br />January 31, 1996. <br /> <br /> The Board appointed Mr. Jerry Jordan as the at-large representative on the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission with Commissioners Payne and Casper and Chairman <br />Carpenter voting for Mr. Jordan. Mr. Jordan's three-year term of appointment <br />will end January 31, 1996. <br /> <br /> The Board appointed Ms. Monica Davis as the alternate member on the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission with Commissioners Casper and Payne and Chairman <br />Carpenter voting for the appointment. Ms. Davis' three-year term of appointment <br />will end January 31, 1996. <br /> <br /> The Board will consider the appointment of the Township 8/9 representative <br />at its next meeting. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Zoning Text Amendment - Watershed Overlay District <br /> <br />Petition 92-03(t). Section 3.12, Watershed Overlay District. <br />Purpose of Change: To comply with the North Carolina Environmental <br />Management Commission (EMC) adopted statewide watershed regulations. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 9-0 to approve this zoning <br />text amendment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerald Newton, Director of Planning, Zoning and Building Inspections, <br />reviewed the proposed amendment which, if approved by the Board, will be <br />forwarded to the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission for review <br />and approval. The public hearing for this proposed amendment was held on <br />December 21, 1992. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Co~nissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 92-03(t) to amend Section 3.12, <br />Watershed Overlay District, of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance as follows. <br /> <br /> <br />
