231 <br /> <br />in the same household as the employee, and/or for whom the employee <br />has leEal responsibility requires the presence of the employee, but <br />may not exceed forty-eight (48) hours [sixty-four (64) hours for <br />Emergency Medical Services Personnel] for any one calendar year. <br /> <br /> Sick leave may be used for death in the employee's immediate <br />family, but may not exceed twenty-four (24) hours [thirty-two (32) <br />hours for Emergency Medical Services Personnel] for any one <br />occurrence, except by special permission from the department head. <br /> <br /> Immediate family shall be deemed to include spouse, mother, <br />father, guardian, children, sister, brother, grandparents, <br />grandchildren, plus the various combinations of half, step, in-law, <br />and adoptive relationships that can be derived from those named. <br /> <br /> Notification of the desire to take sick leave should be <br />submitted to the employee's supervisor prior to the leave or not <br />later than two (2) hours after the beginning of the scheduled <br />workday. <br /> <br /> The second reading for the proposed amendment will be held on April 5, <br />1993. <br /> <br />Amendment to Animal Control Ordinance - Second Reading <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Fennel and Casper and Vice-Chairman Payne voting for, the <br />Board adopted on second reading the following amendment to the Animal Control <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Include the following as Item #2, Article I, Section 9 "Restraint of <br />Animals": <br /> <br />"Adult with Animal on Premises. If a responsible adult is physically <br />outside on the land immediately adjacent to the animal, on the land <br />where the owner of the animal resides, and the animal is under the <br />person's direct control and is obedient to that person's commands, <br />then this section shall not apply during the duration of time the <br />animal is in the company and under the control of that adult and the <br />animal is on the premises. "Adult" is defined as eighteen (18) <br />years or age or older." <br /> <br />Subsequent items in Section 9 which already exist were renumbered <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Road Name Change - Public Hearing - 7:00 P,M. <br /> <br /> Vice-Chairman Payne stated that this was the date and time for a public <br />hearing to consider the following road name changes (Petition 92-93/06): Unnamed <br />Road to Long Farm Lane and Unnamed Road to Jenkins Drive. He asked if anyone <br />were present who wished to speak regarding either of the road names.
