8O <br /> <br />with officers of the requesting agencies, including in an <br />undercover capacity, and to this extent may lend equipment and <br />supplies. <br /> <br />That Cabarrus County shall assume all liability and <br />responsibility for the death or injury of any Cabarrus Gounty <br />Sheriffs Department officer while responding to a request for <br />law enforcement mutual aid in accordance with North Carolina <br />law. Cabarrus County will not assume liability or <br />responsibility for the injury or death of any personnel of the <br />requesting agency. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That Cabarrus County shall assume all costs of salaries, <br />wages, bonuses or other compensation for its own personnel who <br />respond for duty under the terms of this agreement, and shall <br />assume all costs involving the use of supplies and equipment <br />used specifically in response to the request for mutual aid <br />assistance. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That while on duty with a requesting agency, Cabarrus County <br />Sheriffs Department officers shall be subject to lawful <br />operational orders for the commanding officer of the <br />requesting agency, but for personnel and administrative <br />purposes, they shall remain under the control and authority <br />of the Sheriff of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />That the Sheriff may at any time terminate a mutual aid <br />agreement upon written notice to the chief executive officer <br />of the other agency. <br /> <br />That when Cabarrus County Sheriffs Department personnel are <br />sent to another jurisdiction pursuant to this agreement, the <br />jurisdictional authority, rights, privileges and immunities, <br />including coverage under Worker's Compensation laws, which <br />they have in Cabarrus County shall be extended to and include <br />the area in which like benefits and authorities are or could <br />be afforded law enforcement personnel of the receiver agency <br />and shall also be extended to the area located between their <br />respective jurisdictions when said personnel are acting within <br />the scope of the authority conferred by this agreement. <br /> <br />ADOPTED THIS 25TH DAY OF MARCH, 1991. <br /> <br />/s/ Billy J.
