UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Payne with Commissioners Carpenter, Payne, and Hamby and Vice-Chairman Barnhart voting for, the Board moved to add land acquisition for the Coddle Creek Reservoir to the agenda. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter with Commissioners Payne, Carpenter, and Hamby and Vice-Chairman Barnhart voting for, the Board approved the purchase of a house and approximately four acres of land at a cost of $120,000.00 from Mr. Allan Grabar and Mr. Donald Sherman with the provision they can move the house under the same terms and conditions authorized for other houses in the Coddle Creek Reservoir project. These conditions included, but were not limited to, cleaning the area of all excess material and debris after removal of the structure. Mr. Michael M. Ruffin, County Manager, reminded the Board of the following scheduled meetings: April 7 Coddle Creek Ground Breaking Ceremonies April 9 City/County/Schools Liaison Meeting April 11- North Carolina Association of County Commissioners Legislative Briefing - Raleigh April 22 Report to the People - Agricultural Extension Center UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne with Vice Chairman Barnhart and Commissioners Payne, Carpenter, and Hamby voting for, the Board set a public hearing for the 1991-1992 Secondary Roads Program for Gabarrus County on Monday, May 6, 1991, at 7:00 P.M.
