<br /> Chairman Simmons opened the public hearing at 7:22 P.M. to receive comments
<br />relative to the proposed Secondary Road Improvement Program for Cabarrus County.
<br />A member of the audience complained of the poor condition of the Jim Sossamon
<br />Road. There was no one present to speak regarding the proposed program as
<br />presented by Mr. Gordon, and Chairman Simmons closed the public hearing.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution.

<br />A RESOLUTION RELATIVE TO THE
<br />1991-1992 SECONDARY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
<br /> FOR CABARRUS COUNTY
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />
<br />the North Carolina Department of Transportation has
<br />submitted a proposed Secondary Road Improvement Program
<br />in the amount of $536,432.00 for Cabarrus County for the
<br />1991-1992 Fiscal Year; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />
<br />WHEREAs,
<br />
<br />the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners in accordance
<br />with North Carolina General Statute 136-44.8 held a
<br />public hearing on May 6, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. in the
<br />Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County
<br />Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina, in order
<br />to consider public comments about the proposed Secondary
<br />Road Improvement Program; and
<br />
<br />North Carolina General Statute 136-44.8 provides that
<br />the Board of County Commissioners, after the presentation
<br />and discussion of the annual Secondary Road Improvement
<br />Program, may concur with the program as proposed.
