213 Items accepted for sale will be tagged with an identification code for the participant, the sale price, and a description of the item. An inventory on each participant's items will be maintained by the office. Persons purchasing items from the Consignment Shop will pay sales tax in addition to the marked ticket price. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. The marked ticket price, less the 30% markup, will be forwarded to the participant along with any other sales receipts at the end of the month. Participants are limited to making changes in their inventories once per month, by the 15th of the month. This involves any additions, exchanges, or deletions. The Cabarrus County Senior Center will endeavor to protect all display items from breakage, theft, or damage, but does not accept any responsibility for stolen, lost, or broken items. Ail participants will review the guidelines pertaining to the Consignment Shop operation and will sign a statement indicating their understanding of same. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the naming of the multi-purpose room at the Cabarrus County Senior Center "The Cannon Multi-Purpose Room" and the Library/Conference Room "The Barnes Library". Ms. Angela Ferguson, Director of Aging, reviewed the proposed contract with the Centralina Council of Government for Title III Services for Fiscal Year 1991-1992. She commented that the exact amount of funding would be subject to the state grant funds which have not yet been finalized. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Simmons and unanimously carried, the Board approved the "Contract for Services Provided for Under Title III of the Older Americans Act and/or Social Services Block Grant Funds and/or North Carolina State Grant Funds" between Cabarrus County (for services provided by the Department of Aging) and the Centralina Council of Governments for Fiscal Year 1991-1992 and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County. The grant award was in the estimated amount of $272,935.00 for the following services. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Simmons and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment for the Sheriff's Department. BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF SHERIFF AMOUNT $18,524.67 PURPOSE OF REQUEST: To allocate $17,343.42 in federal forfeiture sharing and $1,181.25 in N. C. Controlled Substance Tax funds that were collected and not used in 1990~91 into the 1991-92 budget.
