Holding Company and dated <br />September 16, 1991, <br /> <br /> The Board asked that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. David Murdock <br />and Atlantic American Properties for the generous donation of the property for <br />the Greenway. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hamby recognized the accomplishment of the Social Services <br />staff in meeting the extensive paperwork requirements imposed by the Alexander <br />vs. Flaherty lawsuit. He reported that the agency had successfully complied with <br />the State monitoring which was completed on October 10. According to <br />Commissioner Hamby, the County's score is still tentative but no fines were <br />levied by the State. <br /> Mr. Aubrey Attkisson, Emergency Services Director, presented the following <br />bids which were received on October 10, 1991 for the purchase of an ambulance. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />First Response Bid: $ 52,995.00 <br />Included in that bid was optional pricing for aluminum <br />cabinetry. Also included was a price for the trade in of an <br /> <br />old 1984 Chevrolet, Type III ambulance. <br />no exceptions to the County's bid. <br />FINAL COST FROM FIRST RESPONSE: <br /> BID: <br /> LESS CABINETRY: <br /> LESS TRADE IN: <br /> TOTAL COST: <br /> <br />First Response took <br /> <br />$ 52,995.00 <br /> 2,500.00 <br /> 2,500,00 <br />$ 47,995.00 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />WHEELED COACH BID: $ 49,302.00 <br />Included in that bid were several exceptions. One exception <br />was the use of .090 thick aluminum for exterior vs. required <br />.125 thickness. Most of the exceptions were to meet Wheeled <br />Coaches specifications. Also included was a price for the <br />trade in of the 1984 Chevrolet, Type III ambulance. <br />FINAL COST FROM WHEELED COACH: <br /> BID: $ 49,302.00 <br /> LESS TRADE IN: - 1,500,00 <br /> TOTAL COST: $ 47,802.00 <br /> <br /> In reviewing the bids, Mr. Attkisson reported that Wheeled Coach had <br />contained several exceptions to the County's bid specifications. Therefore, he <br />recommended the award of the bid to First Response in the amount of $47,995.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
