• The contractor shall provide emergency mobile maintenance to start or repair vehicles and equipment that <br />becomes disabled. This service shall be provided as soon as possible, but dispatch shall begin not longer <br />than 30 minutes, after notification of the requirement. <br />The contractor shall provide repair and replacement of vehicle and equipment tires in accordance with <br />CCTS directives and manuals. Disposal of unserviceable tires shall be the contractor's responsibility in <br />accordance with approved environmental procedures. <br />The contractor shall maintain strict control of all accountable documents. This includes logs and <br />registers required by CCTS. These documents will be made available to CCTS upon request. <br />The contractor shall ensure that a Vehicle Maintenance Manager is responsible for the development and <br />execution of a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program. Program includes planning utilization of <br />resources, managing facilities and equipment, analyzing operational problems and taking corrective action; <br />and providing technical and administrative advice to vehicle/equipment using organizations. Determining <br />and resolving technical matters/problems involved in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and <br />equipment; preparing and defining budgets for the operation of the vehicle maintenance program. <br />Some classifications of work may require special protective clothing; coveralls, aprons, masks, face <br />shields, reflective vests, back supports, gloves, and steel -toed safety shoes/boots in accordance with <br />the regulations covering the job descriptions. The contractor shall be responsible for identifying those job <br />classifications requiring protective clothing and equipment in accordance with OSHA standards. <br />The contractor shall ensure that employees have current and valid professional certifications before <br />operating county vehicles. Vehicle Operations drivers must be licensed by the appropriate State to <br />operate vehicles used in the performance of this contract on federal, state, and local highway systems. <br />The contractor shall provide motor vehicle and equipment repair parts equal to or exceeding the quality <br />of replacement parts supplied by the original equipment manufacturer. <br />Commercially purchased or contractor rebuilt parts may be used if they equal or exceed the quality of <br />the original parts. <br />CCTS may award multiple contracts for each maintenance activity <br />For cost and service efficiencies, CCTS prefers to have a single Contractor that is able to perform all services. <br />However, if necessary, Contractors may subcontract specially work to subcontractors who have been <br />approved prior to the start of work. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with doing <br />business with its subcontractors unless otherwise mutually agreed upon with CCTS. <br />Service Facility Location and Contacts <br />A Contractor Information Sheet is included. Proposers must submit this form with their proposal. When <br />information on the form changes a new form should be submitted.
