�PR2 <br />IMPROVE EXISTING PARKS AND DEVELOP <br />ADDITIONAL PARKS <br />Recreation including nature parks, trails and greenways was a high pri- <br />ority for participants. Significant disparity exists between access to parks <br />in different parts of the planning area. <br />Harrisburg Park: Make incremental improvements to Harrisburg Park <br />Future Trailhead / Nature Park: TheTown of Harrisburg and the Catawba Lands <br />Conservancy own land adjacent to Morehead Road that could serve as a future <br />trailhead and nature park <br />Pharr Mill Historic Park: The historic site of Pharr Mill could be utilized as a his- <br />toric park with interpretive signage and neighborhood amenities (i.e. a picnic shelter <br />and/or playground). <br />Fuda Creek Park: Coordinate with the future mixed-use development of Farm- <br />ington to include a parkalongthe banks of Fuda Creek <br />Hickory Ridge Park: Coordinate with landowners adjacent to the planned school <br />to determine feasibility of a parkthat is connected to the school grounds and can be <br />utilized by students and residents. <br />Holcombe Woods Park: The planned development of Holcombe Woods will <br />include land dedicated to a public pads <br />AREA LAND USE PLAN ( 59 <br />G-1 Page 180 <br />
