Suspension and termination of Service <br />Purpose: to establish a policy and procedure whereby the richt to use service may <br />be suspended or terminated due to no shows, inappropriate, seriously disruptive or <br />illegal behavior. <br />Applies to: All CCTS Passengers <br />A passenger's right to use CCTS service will be suspended or terminated as follows: <br />1. When the passenger's behavior is seriously disruptive or inappropriate. <br />2. When a passenger does not show up for reserved rides or cancels service with less <br />than one hour's notice three or more times in a 90 day period. <br />Inappropriate or Seriously Disruptive Behavior Prohibited on CCTS Vehicles <br />The behavior of passengers on vehicles is important. Transportation will be suspended or <br />terminated for passengers who are disrupted, abusive or who pose a threat or danger to <br />themselves, to other passengers, or to the driver as further explained below: <br />• Smoking, including e-cigarettes/vaping, use of any tobacco products, or eating or <br />drinking while onboard. <br />• Profanity — this means no profanity/vulgar speech among passengers or when <br />addressing the driver. <br />• Playing radios, cassette or disc players, or other such sound devices without <br />earphones or in a way that disturbs other passengers or the driver. <br />• Getting out of a seat or unbuckling the seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion. <br />• Leaving the vehicle while it is parked to pick-up or drop-off another passenger. <br />• Disturbing the driver while he/she is driving. <br />• Disturbing other passengers. <br />• Refusing to exit the vehicle. <br />• Making or placing false trips; especially where Medicaid trips are concerned. <br />• Writing bad checks. <br />• Violent behavior. <br />• Physical contact or verbally threatening the driver or other passengers. <br />• Engaging in conduct or activity that is a danger to the passenger, other <br />passengers, or the driver. <br />• Riding while under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. <br />• Damaging or destroying vehicle equipment. <br />• Carrying weapons, explosives, flammable liquids, acids or other hazardous <br />materials or items. <br />• Other illegal behavior/incidents will be reviewed on a case by case basis. <br />Page 138 <br />
