April 16, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3519 <br />caliber, serial number 47A042527) as surplus property and awarded it <br />to Lieutenant Harless for the price of $1.00 upon his retirement. <br />(F-5) Solid Waste Management - Landfill: Proposed Conatruction and Demolition <br />Waste and Individual household Municipal Solid Waste Tipping Fees <br />The Franchise Agreement awarded to Republic Services of Charlotte during <br />the October and November, 2017 Board of Commissioners Meetings includes an <br />increased rate per ton for disposal of solid waste at the Charlotte Motor <br />Speedway Landfill. The new rate will be $39 per ton effective July 1, 2018. <br />This effects individual household municipal solid waste delivered to the County <br />C&D Landfill. A revised fee schedule is being proposed to cover the increased <br />tipping fees, County labor, fuel and vehicle maintenance costs to deliver the <br />household municipal solid waste to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Landfill. The <br />proposed Construction and Demolition Waste tipping fee increase to $2 per ton <br />of construction and demolition waste delivered to the County C&D Landfill is to <br />cover operating costs of the Construction and Demolition Landfill.
